Why Do People Think Sperm Is Good For Your Skin
Sperm may have minor benefits for dental health. According to Bustle semen doesnt just contain sperm, but also vitamins like zinc and calcium, which is why some claim it may help prevent tooth decay. While semen does contain vitamins that help keep your teeth healthy, it might not contain those vitamins in concentrated enough amounts to actually make a difference.
Many also are under the impression that this negligible combination of vitamins as well as the high protein content in sperm would provide nutritional value to the skin through topical treatment. Although the texture of sperm is not unlike a beneficial serum or gel, there is more to efficacy than texture.
There are sperm facials and sperm skin creams that make big promises but are in reality nonsense. One former Cosmopolitan editor famously extolled the virtues of sperm facials but despite her praises, the reality is she was duped. Turns out there is no proven evidence that sperm can provide any benefits to the skin.
But What Does Actual Research Say About Semen Retention
Well, a big problem is there isn’t much of it. Most of the studies exploring semen retention focus on pregnancy. Theres some research indicating that not masturbating helps with sperm motility , but that’s it.
This is why patients are told not to masturbate in the four or five days leading to sperm collection for IUI and IVF procedures, says Christopher Carrubba, MD, a Jacksonville, Florida-based physician and medical education consultant. If youre trying to conceive, there could definitely be a benefit to semen retention leading to intercourse.
But theres even evidence against that. When I spoke to Sandip Prasad, MD, a urologic oncologist at Garden State Urology, he shared a study of 800 men in an IVF clinic, which found that ejaculatory abstinence of greater than four days has a detrimental effect if trying to get pregnant. In fact, one day of ejaculatory abstinence tended to have the best pregnancy outcomes, and then it just went down from there.
When I asked Carrubba about all the other purported benefits, since I, for one, am not trying to have a child, he replied, To date, there has been no research that I could find documenting any psychological benefit to semen retention. As such, any reported benefits are purely anecdotal and could also be the result of a placebo effect.
“If you think there is a benefit, then have at it.”
Whats The Difference Between A Cold Sore And A Pimple
Cold sores are tiny blisters that appear on your lips and around your mouth. Herpes simplex virus type 1 causes cold sores, and the virus is highly contagious. You can spread cold sores very easily through saliva or close contact with another person who has a cold sore outbreak often through kissing or sharing utensils, straws, towels or lip balm.
Pimples dont form on your lips or inside your mouth. You cant spread pimples through saliva or close contact with another person who has pimples.

May Be A Mood Enhancer
In a survey of 293 college women at SUNY Albany about intercourse with and without condoms, it was found that those who didnt use condoms had lower levels of depression and better moods.
This is surprising because risky sex is usually associated with negative self-esteem and depressed mood.
Among women who always or usually used condoms, about 20% reported suicidal thoughts, but among those who used condoms only sometimes, the figure was much lower at 7%. Among women who never used condoms, only 5% reported suicidal thoughts .
Now its important to remember that correlation is not causation. So this does not necessarily imply eating semen will improve your mood. Further research is needed before we make any firm conclusions.
Semen contains many ingredients that could be responsible for this effect.
Probably the most significant one is Nerve Growth Factor , which has potent antidepressant and cognitive-enhancing effects.
Semen also includes mood enhancers such as:
It also includes antioxidant hormones/peptides, such as NGF, oxytocin, and progesterone .
Semen contains uric acid, which is also an antioxidant, but I dont know if its in a meaningful concentration to be medically useful.
What About Otc Creams Containing Spermine
Two Norwegian brands Skin Science and Bioforskning were best known for including artificial spermine in their skin care products. But neither appear to exist anymore.
Skin Sciences claim that its products could reduce aging by 20 percent seemed impressive. But the list of ingredients contained more than spermine.
Natural compounds taken from salmon were also featured. Together, these supposedly boosted collagen production, assisted with inflammation, and removed dead skin cells.
In this example, the benefits were probably coming from the other ingredients. Its likely to be the same story for any other OTC spermine product.
In short, a few not-so-nice things. Applying human semen directly to your skin can cause anything from a severe allergic reaction to an STI.

You May Be At Risk Of Contracting Stis
If you’re swallowing semen, you’re likely not using a condom. And, like most other sex acts performed without a condom, contracting a sexually transmitted infection is always a probability.
According to Planned Parenthood, having semen in your mouth puts you at risk of bacterial infections such as gonorrhea and chlamydia.
How Are Pimples Diagnosed
Pimples are easy to recognize, so you dont necessarily need a healthcare professional to diagnose them. But your healthcare provider can diagnose pimples during a skin exam.
They may ask if youre undergoing significant stress or if you have a family history of pimples, which are risk factors. If you menstruate, your healthcare provider may ask about your menstrual cycles, as pimple breakouts are sometimes related. Sudden, severe pimple outbreaks in people 50 years of age or older can sometimes signal another underlying disease that requires medical attention.
If you have severe pimples , see a dermatologist for treatment. Dermatologists are doctors who specialize in conditions that affect your skin, hair and nails.

How Should I Manage My Pimples
If you have pimples, be careful managing them to avoid irritation. You can do this by:
- Not touching or picking at your pimples.
- Being careful around your pimples while shaving.
- Regularly cleaning items that touch your face, including your cell phone, sports helmets, sunglasses, clothing and pillowcases.
You can also use over-the-counter acne medications like benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. These come in many forms. A wash is the least irritating.
Women Claim That It Makes Their Hair Soft And Shiny
So, we answered that one burning question: Is semen good for the skin?. But dont forget it can also be used on your hair. Semen contains hyaluronic acid. This blocks DHT which stimulates the scalp for cells to multiply. Thats Einstein talk for: it promotes hair growth on your scalp.
Semen contains properties and vitamins that act as a hair mask. It may have the ability to moisturize your hair much like a leave-in conditioner. These nourishing properties can help protect the hair shaft while promoting healthy hair strands in the process.
We already know most dairy foods contain protein, but semen also has high doses of this. Protein is good for your hair, skin, nails and even teeth. So adding straight protein to your hair may welcome great results. Basically an all-in-one product, the only thing missing in semen is hair dye. Wouldnt that make an amazing product for hair color trends?

How Do I Apply This To My Hair
There really is no correct way to apply it to your hair. For a professional approach, salon companies have been utilizing animal semen as a hair-restoration remedy for years. In fact, its a common practice in several countries.
The most popular is bull semen because of its odorless nature. After its extracted from a bull, this semen is mixed with Katira plant extract for that perfect concoction. The idea being, protein from bull semen and Katira will complement existing proteins found in our molecules. This strengthens the texture of our hair further promoting healthy hair growth.
Normally, its prepared by first refrigerating the bull semen. Then, youd apply it to your hair just like any other hair product.
It Helps A Egg Implant In The Womb
Once sperm has fertilised an egg, it doesn’t just stop doing its job there.
“Studies have shown that sperm actually assist in embryo implantation, via several chemicals and hormones,” Dr Orr explained.
“Yet many people are told to refrain from having sex after IVF.
“I can tell you that you need to have more sex ignore the BS and listen to the research that proves otherwise.”

Whats The Difference Between A Boil And A Pimple
Boils are pus-filled bumps that develop deep in your skin. They usually begin as discolored bumps, which quickly increase in size and fill with pus. The bacteria Staphylococcus aureus causes boils and staph infections.
The following tips can help you tell the difference between a boil and a pimple:
- Boils dont respond to typical pimple treatments.
- Boils usually form around cuts or scratches on your skin.
- Pimples arent usually as painful as boils.
Is Cum On Face Bad For Skin
From a 10,000-foot view, I dont see any harm in this, says Stephen Lewellis, a board-certified dermatologist. Except for rare cases of a frank allergy to semen, which can happen, I wouldnt anticipate serious adverse effects from residual ejaculate remaining on the skin for a reasonable amount of time, although it could be a bit irritating especially if your skin is particularly sensitive.
Thankfully, he says, most people do just fine with cum and should have no problem traipsing around doused in the stuff. But if you do start breaking out in welts, its probably not the actual sperm in semen that youre reacting to. Rather, its more likely to be a particular protein produced by the prostate, something roughly 40,000 women in the U.S. and even a handful of men appear to be allergic to. Though, theres almost no evidence that those rare allergies occur on the general skin its usually the vulva, vagina or penis that react with burning, itching, hives and irritation. In incredibly rare cases, a semen allergy can cause system-wide anaphylactic shock, but the lone case study that reported this was the result of intravaginal ejaculation, not a person walking around with a little patch of dried jizz on their lower back.
In other words unless you get a burning rash on your stomach every time your partner unloads their load, its safe to say that cum isnt necessarily bad for your skin. So if you want to skip the shower and let it mellow, its probably fine.

Swallowing Semen May Prevent Preeclampsia
Preeclampsia is a condition that causes dangerously high blood pressure during pregnancy. A 2000 study suggested that “swallowing sperm is correlated with a diminished occurrence of preeclampsia.”
The study looked at an isolated peptide called HLA, which has the ability to transfer tolerance. Soluble HLAHLA antigens that are present in the seminal plasma can cause tolerance in the mother to paternal antigens that cause preeclampsia during pregnancy.
Is Semen Good For Your Skin Really
In a Vice study, testing the hypothesis that sperm is good for your skin, the female participant did report skin that seemed moist however, that wasnt the only effect of using semen on her skin. It also caused her to break out. This is likely because of the testosterone content in the semen as testosterone contributes toward acne.
Its unlikely that youll be okay with unsightly blemishes on your skin just for a little moisturizer, especially when you can use products that will keep your skin moist and toned without causing breakouts or while actively fighting acne if your skin is prone to breaking out.
In fact, one doctor replied to probing questions about the benefits of a semen facial by expressing doubt that there are any benefits at all and warning against the negatives that can happen if you decide to try this skin regimen. . Despite this, both teenagers and adults frequently ask Dr. Kirby whether semen can be beneficial to their skin.
Dr. Kirby worries that the type of STIs that can be spread through contact to bodily fluids could be spread via absorption through the thin membranes in the face. Were not just talking about cold sores caused by herpes Simplex 1. Even your eyes could become vulnerable to chlamydia.

Reasons For You To Get A Sperm Facial
The next time you and your man have a night packed with fun, ladies, don’t forget to collect some! . According to a new study, it is believed semen or sperm is good for the skin. The proteins and nutrients present in sperm can make your face glow and help to lighten those nasty looking scars too. Many women find this to be a sickening face pack, but, if you still feel it can work wonders on your skin, why not try this natural ingredient.
Your man’s semen is packed with protein, that helps to tightens the skin. Sperm when applied as a face pack also helps to moisturise and nourish your face due to the presence of zinc, magnesium, calcium, potassium and fructose. On the other hand, fresh semen includes urea which is found in urine which in other terms is good for the skin as it acts as a natural toner.
Likewise, here are some of the other reasons why you should apply sperm on your face for better skin. Take a look at the skin care benefits:
Semen Quality Changes With Age
True, men can produce sperm throughout their entire lives. But it isnt always viable. Dr. Reitano says that according to one study, sperm produced by men over age 52 were more likely to be abnormal than the sperm of younger men. Young guys also produce more sperm per ejaculation. Semen production is highest in men in their 20s or so, but can decrease slowly starting at any point from that age onward, he says.

Semen Facial Yes It Does Exist
While semen has many other uses, one of them is its benefit to your skin. People are getting semen facials to treat their signs of aging and wrinkles. According to some reviews, semen facials help to make the skin soft and smooth. Due to its demand, there are even some spas in New York that are offering a semen facial to their clients.
It’s Not Supposed To Smell Bad
Stinky semen could be indicative of a larger issue. Foul-smelling semen can be a sign of an infection, possibly a sexually transmitted infection. STIs may also be at work if the semen takes on a yellow or green color, says Dr. Reitano. On occasion, a broken blood vessel in the urethra or prostate can make semen appear brown or reddish.
What is semen supposed to smell like? “Semen can typically have a slight ammonia or bleach-like odor,” he adds. “Anecdotally, semen can have a slight change in odor or taste with changes in food, meaning eating asparagus may result in a similar change in the odor of semen as noted with urine.”

It’s Good For Your Skin
Sperm can help keep your skin looking healthy, but not everyone wants to smear it on their face.
“Sperm contains minerals such as zinc, vitamin C, prostaglandins, collagen, vitamins, amino acids and many other health things to benefit the skin,” Dr Orr said.
“Bioforskning, a Norwegian company, has synthesised the compounds into a facial cream.
“According to Bioforskning, the cream, Spermine, is 30 times more effective than vitamin E and can delay the ageing process by 20 per cent.
History Of Cum Facials For Skincare
Shes not the only one on-board the cum train, either former Cosmopolitan editor-in-chief Helen Gurley Brown also famously advised people to spread semen over your face probably full of protein as sperm can eventually become babies. The TV show Nip/Tuck even featured sperm cream episodes, and Heather Locklear once joked that a few million sperm to the face was what kept her looking young and refreshed.
Unfortunately for them, most dermatologists dont necessarily agree. While spermine is anti-aging and apparently 30 times more moisturizing than Vitamin E, it has to be isolated from semen and processed in a lab before its cosmetically viable, which means that spreading and wearing it on your face probably isnt going to cut it as a beauty treatment.
Straight semen doesnt make for a particularly effective treatment, either. As dermatologist Doris Day told Cosmopolitan, Its not necessarily something that can penetrate the skin in any way beyond what a regular moisturizer can do. The water in the semen, as it dries off on your skin, could leave your skin drier. More importantly, Beverly Hills dermatologist Will Kirby told the Daily Beast, rubbing semen on skin around mucous membranes like the eyes and mouth might even spread certain STIs.
I guess we can look forward to a cum-covered world, after all.
